New lease - charging

Just curious, when leasing the i8, do you typically just get the charging cable? The charging cable can just plug into a typical wall socket?

I see these charging stations for your garage, sounds like they are extra and require some special wiring?
Thanks.

Garage List
Yes, the public charging cable and the wall mounted charging points are optional accessories

Yes - the charging cable comes with the car and it plugs into a normal US socket

The 120v cable that comes with the car is sufficient. Definitely don't need the wall charger.

To be honest, I haven't plugged my car in in over a month

Wow, is it just charging from driving then?

yeah. since i live out in the 'burbs, 95% of my driving is in sport mode. never really have a need for the electric only except within my own subdivision.

I've only seen a negligible drop in my ave. mpg

I use a wall charger, only because I have one from my previous electric car that had a larger battery pack. I agree with Incogleo no need to get a level 2 wall charger for this car. The 110v charger will easily charge the i8 batteries overnight, or you could just skip charging all together.
