I also had (recently sold and replaced with a Ghost) a Bentley Continental GT. FWIW I'd say the i8 is a good cross between the two. More GT than the 458, better performance than the Bentley (but nowhere near a 458) Ferraris stir the soul though. There's something special about them that's tough to articulate. You have to feel it. |

No offense, but why would anyone get an SUV? They don't have more space than a good station wagon, guzzle more gas for the same performance, handle worse despite all the suspension wizardry, are more likely to roll over ...

I never had an SUV. It'd be a nice change. Wagons are cool but my fiance would kill me if I got one. She think wagons are for old ladies |

My next car will likely me something like a 911 GTS.
I love BMW, I've just kinda gone through most of what I'm interested in already. 550i (F10 with Dinan Stage 3 tuning), 2014 M6 and now the i8. |

Speaking of station wagons, among my many BMWs was a recent 535ixt. It was a superb car. If BMW imported the current 5 series wagon I'd get it in an instant. But BMW is determined to sell us trucks (SUVs) and hatchbacks (GTs). My 550iGT had very comfortable seats but was soft and a real pig of a car. Ugly to boot.

That's the car no longer Top Gear would mock on just as they did on communist cars for good reasons ( when Jeremy was there ) This SUV is my fave ,it's shame US won't get this because it could be detrimental to sales of VW's equivalent models or G30 BMW 5 Series ,I love it , the best looking 5 Series ever

I don't much like Merc wagons. Last year I successfully lemoned an E63 for a neighbor. The transmission would lock up and the car had to be stopped, the ignition turned off, and then the car had to be restarted. After 5 attempts we told Mercedes they owned it. And they bought it back (even though they fixed it one last time; it had been in the shop for 32 days total following that last and probably successful attempt).
