Is your Wood trim failing ?

May be just lucky with being one of the only ones it seems to have my headlights craze,
But while driving i saw the sunlight hit my wood grain just right and it looked as if it was lifting,

Upon closer look and feel sure enough that open poor wood grain is flaking and lifting and feels Very rough to the touch where before it was smooth, don't think it likes the northern climate much.

Here are some shots, anybody else having this happen?

I've seen a couple people get theirs replaced under warranty for cracking, but not exactly what you're showing. Have the dealer replace it under warranty.

I've had my i3 about a year and the wood trim still looks new. Feels smooth.

Ok mine is 3 years now, And I'm wondering if the seasons have something to do with it, gets ultra cold here and in some cases can have temp swings of 15 at night and 50 in the day.

Either way BMW saw it and are replacing it.
