I leased my i3 REx on 11/11, and just received my plates on 11/28 - approx 2 weeks later with weekends & holidays in between.
I just mailed in my app today (11/30) for the HOV decals, so I'll report back when I receive them. |

This website gives accurate numbers every 1-2 weeks.
http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/carpool/carpool.htm On Nov 15, there were around 80,500 decals issued. |

I wonder why the i8 isn't eligible for the green HOV sticker, as it is a plug in hybrid. I've just received my plates and have applied for the white stickers.

Took about a month...let's see how long the DMV takes to send me the stickers.

From what I've been reading on different EV forums, right now it's taking anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months to receive the decals (most of them were around the 3-4 week period). It just depends on the load of applications that the CA DMV workers have to go through.
The main thing to note is that everyone always said that once your $8 application check clears, the stickers are immediately mailed out and you should receive them within a week from that time. So keep an eye on your bank account to see when you $8 check has been cashed. Then you know you'll have your HOV stickers very soon. |

Yup, I saw that my check was cashed on or just before 12/16.
Here's my current timeline: 11/11 - leased my i3 11/26 - received email my plates were mailed out 11/28 - received my plates in the mail 11/30 - mailed in the HOV decal app and $8 check (with a tracking number) 12/3 - application letter delivered, per the tracking number 12/16 - my $8 check was cashed, verified on my bank account I assume I should be receiving my HOV decals either by this weekend, or sometime next week. Every post I've read on different EV forums, they all said once their check was cashed they received the decals within a week. I'll update my timeline when I receive them, but it's moving pretty quick. On a separate note, the $2500 CA rebate also processed very fast too. They say 90 days, and that's how long others have said it took them, but from the time they approved my app (11/20) until the email I just received saying they were sending it out (12/15), it was less than 30 days for them to process it |

Damn you are lucky Steve....you just made it.
MPORTANT NOTICE: The 85,000 statutory Green Clean Air Vehicle Decal limit has been reached. The DMV will continue to accept applications without payment to establish a queue for requesters should an additional amount of decals be authorized. There is no guarantee that additional decals will be authorized in the coming months. Those individuals in the queue will be notified to submit payment if additional decals are approved. Updates will be provided here as more information becomes available. |

Damn, I was lucky.
They processed my check on 12/15 and issued the decals that same day, approx 12 days after they received my app (7 business days). That must be record speed for the CA DMV to move like that. I just received my decals tonight, as well as my CA $2500 rebate check. Today was definitely a good day |

since they are taking applications it stands to reason they are hopeful that another batch will be approved. I am waiting for my plates so I can get on the waiting list.

What's up Houseofpeng!!!!
I just leased a i3 BEV yesterday so I am guaranteed a white sticker, however reading your post I noticed you and Steve applied for the decal after receiving the plates. I just mailed my app in with the check with everything complete minus the license plate number per my dealer. I wonder if that's going to be an issue. |

The decal app requires a license plate number on it, and I've heard of people getting their apps rejected when they didn't have a plate number on the app.
Let us know what happens, as I'd be interested to see if they let your app through since the clean air certificate that comes with the decals are linked to your VIN and license plate (and has them printed on there, like in my pic). |

Just received the white stickers for my BEV on April 1. I sent the application on February 20. So that's about 40 calendar days. Pretty close to the 30 business days estimated by the DMV. The DMV didn't cash my check until they processed my application. I've already gotten my $1000 rebate from BMWCCA and $2500 from the California ARB. All the paperwork is finally done.

I just leased the i3. How do I file for the $2500 state credit. The dealer wasnt clear about it. Also, for the HOV do you just fill out the REG 1000? If so, is it an enhanced AT PZEV? I read there was some issues with DMV before regarding it as a plug-in hybrid.
