Are all the wheels of this spec?
Wheel Specs: HRE P101 22”x9” // 22”x10.5” Finish: Satin Black Tires: Pirelli P Zero Nero GT Front: 245/30/22 Rear: 285/25/22 My standard wheels are: Wheel dimensions front 7.5 J x 20 inches H2 IS40 Wheel dimensions rear 8.5 J x 20 inches H2 IS50 With tyres: Tyre dimensions front 215/45 R20 95W XL Tyre dimensions rear 245/40 R20 99W XL Are there any clearance issues for suspension/wheel travel? Any issues with tyres rubbing on full lock? If not, I imagine these would increase the available grip very noticeably. A rather nice upgrade. What is the weight of your wheels with tyres versus the factory fit wider items I listed above? Finally, is there a UK stockist? Last edited by JasH; 05-15-2016 at 03:20 PM.. |

Sometimes customers opt for a 21" setup and on extremely rare occasions a 20" setup. But the large majority of ours go with the 22" setup that you listed above. There are ZERO rubbing issues whatsoever. Out fitments are tried & tested - even on i8's that have been lowered. Wheel weight is estimated* to be 23.20 lbs for the front and 25.70 lbs for the rear. |

Thank you for the information Do you have the weights including tyres please?
Does anyone know the weights of the factory i8 Turbine spoke style wheels? Just so we can compare. Another thread here shows the Turbines INCLUDING tyres to be 44.6 and 47.6. The thread does not state the units of measurement, which I presume to Lbs as the poster is American. It shows the front Turbines without tyres to be 24.0 So, if all the data is correct and comparable, then the weights are very similar. Last edited by JasH; 05-16-2016 at 01:44 PM.. |

If those OEM weights are accurate the, yes, it will be very similar but keep in mind that with the HRE's (and corresponding tires) the wheels will be much larger, much wider, and with your styling preferences. Quite the positive tradeoff I'd say |

What tyres do you recommend for those wheels on i8 please? Pirelli P Zero Nero GT?
Are stickier/softer tyres available in that size? Or those with less tread i.e. cut slicks? |

These Pirelli P Zero Nero GT's are the only ones available for this setup and they are quite excellent in their own right.

It looks like i8's in that paint finish have eluded us! No photos that I can see here in my gallery with that paint finish.
I do have a new set of photos though here of an i8 from Concept Motorsports! BMW i8 with HRE S201H Wheels in Satin Black with Brushed iLectric Blue Outers! Thanks for taking a look! |

You thinking of ordering HRE's for yours? Would be pretty cool to be the first and only Ionic Silver i8 in the world with premium HRE's.
