2017 deals and lease terms
My lease is ending in May, and I had started shopping for MY17 replacement last month.
January 2017 brought out new lease terms, but even more interestingly, BMW lease pull-ahead program is back on. Not only that, but i3's are now eligible for BMW lease-pull ahead (were excluded in 1H'16 together with M's and Alpina's). BMWFS has re-named lease "pull-ahead" into 2017 "Lease Loyalty Program". In a way, it replaces the 4Q'16 $1,000 lease credit (now discontinued, along with all other "holiday" credits). Either way, details are as follows: -3 payments waived for MY2013 to MY2015 except 7 series -5 payments waived for MY2013 to MY2015 7 series -M and Alpina models are not eligible So for those of us eager to upgrade old i3's, you can now exit the old lease without penalties with up to 3 payments outstanding on the old lease. In my case, it means I am actively shopping starting now... Jan'17 lease terms to follow once I find out exactly what they are. a

Thanks for the update! My lease is up in April and I'll be shopping soon as well. Do share financials and incentives like we do in the F8X sections 😃👍

You are awesome! Is the invoice roughly 7% below MSRP for i3s as well similar to our F80s?

Specifically, for MY17 cars: Model ................... /MSRP / Invoice / % Markup BEV (new battery): 43,600 / 41,050 / 5.85% REX (new battery): 47,450 / 44,630 / 5.94% Markup on options is closer to 8% (still assembling data for the spreadsheet). For example: Blue Ionic color: 700 / 645 / 7.86% Park assist pack: 1000 / 920 / 8.0% HK audio : 800 / 735 / 8.3% I'm 95% positive about the Invoice $$ numbers cited above, but not 100%. If someone sees an error, please share updated #s. a

Let me know what you think of this deal. Its actually like $5 less than what I am paying now for my 2014 (MSRP 54,550). I got them down to invoice + 7,500 fed + 2,500 dealer discount. I should still be able to stack the $1500 fleet discount on top of the 10k discounts right? |

hey - if you're not too far down the pipe line on closing this deal out - give David Aviles at Steve Thomas BMW a ring (pm me if you want his dd). this deal looks good, but you might be able to do a little better
i just ordered an i3 REx. my deal was structured a little differently, as i wanted to get into the sweet spot for residuals and an efficient MF. here are some details: MSRP: $58,425 at 57% residual (12k miles 36 mts), $0 down, $0 drive off, fleet discount, loyalty, and the fed credit all sandwiched together and I am at $452 - taxes included. hope this helps.

On REX, it's $3,615. There is further markup on all the options (~8% on average), so depending on how many options you had selected, the $2.5K discount leaves ~10+K (options) * 8% = $800+ on the table. More with REX. Yes, fleet discount is another $1.5K credit (and MF reduction of -.00020). xDrive experience would be another $1K credit (if you attend). a

BTW, once I apply the fleet discount it brings me down to under $300 a month so I'm very happy about being able to take advantage of that program |

Can you guys give a little more detail on how you got sub $300? $254 is amazing with the MSDs. I'm not really following because one guy says he got 452 and thought that was good, then the calculator above shows MSDs and it's still 369, so how did you chop an extra $100 off?

Always start with Invoice + SA markup pricing. Invoice +$500, for example. Then subtract the credits ($10K in total). You should be looking at ~$13K delta from MSRP to your sales price, and monthly payment in high $2xx for a $50K car. The dealers will respond by jacking up MSD values and inventing and marking up registration, detailing, and muffler shining fees. Catch them, correct them, repeat as necessary. Then buy down fleet MSD rate with 7 MSDs to drop another ~$30/month to ~$25x/month for 24 month/20K lease. 36 month/30K lease will have even lower monthly payment, but that doesn't work for my circumstances. 36 month/45K lease will raise the monthly payment back up. My calculations pertain to my $47K MSRP build. That's all I need. Good luck, a

yeah - you definitely have to work at these calculations and definitely push the dealerships as you now have a lot more detail than they would expect you to have. i've shopped multiple dealerships in my area to get solid comparisons. did the same thing when i got my 2014 M5 - CP w/ 6MT!
to be sure you're comparing apples to apples - my deal listed in the thread is at an MSRP of $58,475 (Tera world - REx) and a sale price of $51,700. also note, at $452 it does not and will not include MSD's, so my MF is at .00114. $0 down. $0 drive off. good luck.

I mean I asked the dealer for 10k off based on whatever incentives/rebates affadev mentioned. I just let the dealer figure that out b/c I had another dealer (the original one I leased my car from) offer me 10k off the bat so I think there are some hold backs they're willing to offer up to sweeten the deal.

Well, it has been done.
2017 BEV i3, MSRP of $47,095. Selling price of $35,275 (invoice + $750 + reg fees + taxes). With 7 MSDs on top of fleet finance rate, the final MSD = 0.00065. The monthly payment is $249 for 24 month/20K lease. MSD and BMW FS inception fee upfront, $41 down to bring monthly below $250 to reduce MSD payment to 7x$250 (vs. 7x$300 - BMW FS calculates MSD multiple in $50 increments). First time I'm putting MSD down, but with 20.0% annual return on the $1,750 deposit, I will give it a try. YMMV, a

Historically, BMW FS has been releasing programming in 2-month spans. Not to say that they could change something this Feb, but if history holds, it's more likely to happen in March. Quote:
Dealers are playing it safe ordering inventory cars in shades of grey, and mostly fully loaded. Long story short, mine is a custom order, so I have to wait ~2 months to take delivery. a
