Arrow BMW i. 40 Jahre Elektromobilität

IF you thinking electric BMW models is something new for BMW to do.. you'd be wrong. Very wrong. Many of you know of the eMini and the ActiveE, but BMW has made a lot of electric cars before those. In fact the very first one was this orange 1602 for the '72 Olympic games. BMW wanted a car to be the pace car for the "torch" ceremony and they came up with an electric 2002 that could cover the 26 miles of the Marathon.

Sorry that this video is in German... but you can see BMW has been thinkering with these electro cars for a very long time.
