Hi folks,

I bought a 2016 BMW i3 and discovered the front seat belts are both bad.

I took them off and honestly there is very little difference between the two.

I can find seat belts from North America for the front right but the front left is expensive and rare.

Conversely I can find front left belts from the UK easily and cheaply.

Has anyone figured out if we can use the LHD seat belts?

I'm going to partially answer my own question: Euro seatbelts all seem to be single stage whereas the NA seatbelts all seem to be dual stage so you can't use a Euro belt in a NA vehicle.

However looking at the parts number between the two belts the only difference I've found is the black metal backplate. I suspect if you switch those then you could use a left belt on the right side. I'm going to test my theory.
