Can we say that i8 suspension / handling is not as good as other BMWs?

If you watch how i8 is made, you will get what I'm saying.
I'm curious...How exactly did you deduce this from "how it's made"?

It would be safe to assume they behave differently.

I know the SLS doors contain explosives in them that blow the doors open when the car flips.

I blame the ugly skinny tyres

But on a more serious note, main thing is no one is seriously hurt and driver is ok!

Where would BMW put that many Nixie tubes in order to display that message?

The car is back in Munich and will be examined. At this stage due to the early stage of the prototype it will be probably be destroyed and recycled.

Fortunately the BMW driver walked away from this. And on the bright side, the accident was not a complete waste as there will most certainly be a lot of information to be gained for BMW from this accident.

Not surprised. Rain, skinny summer tires, high speeds... well you get the point. Glad he is ok to live to crash another day!

i don't understand why people are saying the skinny tires were a part of the problem. Wider and he prob wouldn't have made it up to speed in the first place lol.

Having a narrower tire means the weight is dispersed over a small surface area. Something key to getting the tire to not "float" above the water on the road (hydroplaning).
