I think the stance needs work. The rear track needs to be a bit wider.. also wider tires. Otherwise it loses ab it of the sports car look and more "Honda Insight"

AMAZING- I can't believe they are actually moving forward with this. If you guys recall, the "official" M3 0-60 time according to BMW (posted on the BMWUSA website) is 4.8s. If BMW is expecting that the VED will reach 0-6 in 4.8s in the hybrid configuration as well, then in reality it should be about as fast as the M3 and still do 75 miles per gallon- if this is the case then it would be an astounding achievement! Also, I recall that Scott posted that eventually there will be an M variant of the VED, and that the engine would be based on the new M3 engine (albeit the car will be alot lighter and faster than the new M3 I suppose). Exciting news all around!

The side view of the car is insane along with the front! But the rear is a little funky? Looks like that new Honda hatchback a little.

The narrow tires may look odd, but you guys do understand that it is a requirement to meet their mileage goal right? Wider tires will only increase the rolling resistance, decreasing the potential mileage.

+100k? don't know where that money is going too, could buy an M3 and a Prius for the price of that car. High performance can demand high sticker, not sure if high mileage can do the same...

that looks fantastic and I definitely want one.

I may break my rule about never buying a non-M BMW. but, I'm hoping that they come out with an M version... 0 - 60 in 4.8 isn't very impressive, but the looks of this car are.

I'm surprised how many they plan to make, a relatively high number for a car of this small target market

IMO they could of cleaned up the back of the car. everything from the tail lights down is HORRIBLE. it looks like a crazy expressway with all the extra body moldings. but then again ill never buy a hybrid for 150k when hydrogen cars will make hybrids obsolete

IMO the front is the most aggressive front BMW ever ever ever ever made... The back looks mean... thumbs up for the taillights but it looks busy I mean seriously busy for me... I don't think the glass doors and the glass roof is gonna make it to production, think about safety regulations.... BMW PLEASE MAKE AN M VERSION OF IT... Supercar gasoline engine!
