Issues with BMW ConnectedDrive USA
Is anybody in the USA having issues with car status not updating with the BMW ConnectedDrive portal, Connected app and iRemote app as well since 2 days ago?

Yes. Not updating for me. Last update was 6:03 PM (PST) 11-30-16.

I'm not in the US, but I seem to be having the same problem. My status hasn't updated since Dec. 1, 4:20pm. Same date and time in the i Remote app, the Connected app, and the ConnectedDrive website. However, it does seem like I can send settings to the car, like departure times.

Yes same problem here. My i Remote App hasn't updated since 11/30 and my Connected Remote App keeps telling me that I am "in motion" so they can't update the status of my i8.
BMW is going through a period right now where they are transitioning over to a new system. Long story short, the old BMW Assist/Connected Drive was running on old 2G system technology and BMW is upgrading. Some older model year BMW's, for instance, like me previous 12' E92 M3 is using the old technology. Therefor, BMW is giving me the option to cancel all BMW Assist and ConnectedDrive going forward and they are either giving me a $200 VISA gift card or a $300 BMW Parts & Accessories Gift Card if I do. Or I can bring my car in to have the new system installed. |

BMW advises we need to transition to a new App. Called "BMW Connected North America." The old App, with which BMW has been having trouble, is being terminated. The new App supposedly will allow those of us with ICE and i BMWs the ability to access them both on the same App. And -- get this -- the new App will allow us to unlock our doors without calling Mommy! (So I have been told.)
As a result of the advice I received today, after spending a lot of frustrating time with a bunch of people who I was told to call and who knew nothing, I have deleted both my old Apps and downloaded the new one. So long as the email address you use is the one associated with your car(s), the App will automatically add it. (I still have the old 650i Gran Coupe showing.) As of right now the displayed features all work for the M4 (including unlock so long as you know your password to input again) but nothing works on the i8.

Seems as if the issue may have been fixed. Both iRemote and BMW Connected North America apps are updating to current info and working with no issues for me
