is BMW Ultimate Care+ worth it?

I’m planning to buy my 2019 i8 lease and the standard maintenance expires soon.

Is it worth it to buy the “BMW Ultimate Care+“ for next 4 years? It covers maintenance for up to 7 years/125k miles and it’s about $5k…

All depends how many miles you drive your car.

i've been considering this as well since mine will be up in a few months.

I feel like maintenance will come somewhat frequently for me. I'm at 18k miles so far.

Maintenance is fairly easy on these. My rotors and pads at 40k miles still look almost new. Since it is a hybrid a big amount of braking is done by the EV drivetrain. Oil changes I do every 5k miles simply because I have seen a ton of piston ring failure due to oil gum buildup on Toyota's after they pushed their 10k miles change intervals. Some of them were barely over 100k. And had not missed a change. Now on the x3 I bought maintenance because that thing eats through brakes very fast. My wife uses cruise control and it auto brakes to keep it from going over speed in hills. Never saw a car eat through brakes as fast as that thing does.

I bought the 3 year oil change for 199 USD. I also agree that maintenance items seem to be not that necessary if you have low miles per year. The door struts need to be replaced every 2 or 3 years, which is also easy to do.

In addition, the price seems quite high, and remember it is negotiable.
