Video in i3

BIMMERPOST

Hey guys, I remember a while back when I was sitting in my 135 and waiting for my wife while she was clothes shopping I popped in a DVD and enjoyed watching a nice action movie in surround sound, Is it possible to play video in the I3? I know we don't have a dvd drive but remember I could play video from my iPod on both the Bmw and mini.

Did they leave this option out of the i3 ?

Thanks for any insight!!!!

I'm pretty sure you can watch music videos from the iPod function. Not sure about movies. I'll try tomorrow

And like always, not if you're driving

Yea they have the block out function when moving. Though they have software for that, not needed for the distraction while driving but i know my wife liked it during a long drive to Michigan a couple years ago.

I tend to wait in the car a lot as I hate clothes shopping ! It's like kryptonite for me. I tend to catch up on my bbc top gear shows while waiting . It be nice to see it on that lovely big display.

Ok just tried to plug the BMW media plug into the USB dock and the i3 doesn't recognize it. So from the looks of it the manual said it's possible but doesn't say how. Has anybody done it successfully ? The dealer said you have to download movies on usb then add them to the hard drive but otherwise they have no idea ......

Any body ?
