Maserati of Manhattan seems to have an i8 for sale!

Hey guys, I was just there this morning servicing my Ghibli when I strolled into the showroom on 54th and 11th and saw this! The service advisor says he believes it is available but he wasn't sure what they were asking for it. Just wanted to post this here in case anyone was interested. If you are, call and ask for my salesman who was awesome: Mike L. (sorry for the crappy iphone pics) Enjoy!

It's for sale on eBay. At some ridiculous price. Lots of offers on some of the i8s on ebay but no one has even bid MSRP on any of the i8s on offer. I tend to doubt the claims about sales at tens of thousands over MSRP. And of owners being offered $50-$100K over by passersby.

I'll find put when my i8 is delivered. (At the PVC in Pt Hueneme on October 30th. Still waiting for it. Sophisto grey/grey/Tera World.)

I am one of the ones that is on the outside looking in I didnt pre order an I8 and now I want one!

If anyone is wanting to sell theirs or sell their reservation let me know!

I have been watching ebay and cars.com for over a month and rarely do they sell on there. I understand there is a demand for more than MSRP but I dont think 30k over is worth it in my opinion.

Thanks!

We have a used i8 with less than 100 miles on it. We bought it for over MSRP from a private buyer, someone that somehow got it for close to MSRP and didn't really want it. We ran it through a dealer auction, and we were offered more than MSRP, and much more than what we paid for it, but we decided to keep it.

Resale

Does anyone have a real sense of what these cars have ACTUALLY sold for on the secondary market. There are plenty for sale but if they are selling what do you have to pay for one.

Anxious to hear how you compare it to the Tesla.

My 17 y.o. daughter has driven my i8 quite a bit now as well as her best friend's Tesla 85S. (Her girl friend doesn't like to drive.)

My daughter says the Bimmer is a pleasure to drive, like all of our BMWs, but that the Tesla has a dead feel to it. Now that's pretty cold. I'd like to get someone else's take on the two cars.

One thing about the i8 -- it's a lot lighter to drive than all of my 5ers and 6ers. It does feel a lot like my Z4 in the corners, but it's quicker and has a lower center of gravity so it corners just a bit better.

I have the Model S on order but they are taking forever to build it. Its the P85D variant and they are having issues with the seats or something. I am looking forward to comparing the 2 when I finally get it.

Just saw a i8 get sold for $199K in Sacramento CA today, so people do pay much more that others think they are worth.
