Question about Plug & Charge setup

My early '24 iX was recently at the dealer for one year service. They were supposed to install the P&C certificate.

When I got home, I went into the Plug and Charge app on screen. When I tried to flip the e-switch to ON, and it said something to the effect, "you must download a contract from your service provider."

No further instructions were offered on screen. What exactly do I need to do? I'm about half way through my 2 year EA promo. Did the dealer not install the needed certificate? Being an early '24, that is what was supposed to have been done. Thanks.

You can still get the free EA charging by starting the session using the BMW app, I know because my EA contract that was in the car is now missing.
You don’t need the plug and charge to get the free 30 minutes

I am in contact with EA but getting nowhere at the moment

This has been discussed at length in other threads. EA needs to send the charging contact to the vehicle. Try emailing support@electrifyamerica.com with your VIN and asking that the contract be sent to the car.

Thanks guys. I found the other thread after posting my comment. I would have deleted this post, but that option wasn't offered, only edit.

I sent an email to EA.

I emailed EA support before the weekend and the contract showed up this morning. Now I have to try it...

Are there any other charging companies that offer P&C for the iX?

None that I know of. I suspect it will stay this way because BMW is the gatekeeper and any electric provider needs bmw support to install the certs.

Same here. My dealer installed the plug and charge software patch last Saturday. I called EA this morning and they said it will take up to 5 days for the contract to download. I also spoke to BMW who conformed that EA is the only company accepted for plug and charge on BMW EVs.

I just heard back by e mail from EA and they said they fixed the problem. I checked my car and the EA contract is there and I check the box to use Plug and Charge.

I kept e mailing them weekly and they resolved the problem.
