Bought another i3 REx - Here's My Deal
Bought a 2nd i3 from Greg Poland at Pacific BMW tonight. Highly highly recommend going to see him if you're in the SoCal area. He really takes care of the BMW enthusiast community with no hassle or gimmicks. Wanted to jump into another lease before May 1st because BMW is ending the 7 MSD program. That saved me about $40/mo on this car. I wanted the same car I had before and Greg was able to source exactly the options I wanted from anther dealer. No boxes left unchecked So Thanks Greg!
Picked up a white fully loaded REx. I use this as a daily commuter vehicle (28 mile round trip). Loved my 2015 so bought another. Here's the deal I got for those shopping right now: 2017 BMW i3 with Range Extender
MSRP: $57,495 Sales Price: $51,725 BMWNA Incentive: $7500.58 AARP MF Fleet Rate Incentive: 0.00004 Savings Lease: 30/mo 10k Year Residual: 61% Money Factor: .0013 (Base) - 0.00004 (AARP) - 0.00049 (7MSD) = 0.00077 Down: $0 Total Drive Off: $2603 + $2800 (MSD) = $5403
Base Payment: $366.14 Tax: $32.04 (Los Angeles 8.75%) Total: $398.18/mo I'm expecting to get the $500 rebate through BMWCCA and $2,500 back from CA. My previous i3 was $349.20/mo so this is a bit higher but the incentives just aren't there right now. Plus I've gained 40% bigger battery and a moonroof so thats ok I guess. They may have a few thousand in credits towards end of summer as usual but by my math it still seemed worth doing the 7 MSD while it last now and forgoing potentially 2k and build out credit later on. -Time Last edited by TimeFor; 04-26-2017 at 12:59 AM.. |

BTW, if you cashed in on the AARP fleet rebate (via MF or base price discounts), BMW NA/CCA rebate will be in jeopardy. Ask me how I know. a

Well that would suck. AARP only saved me $100 so losing out on CCA rebate would be totally shitty. Guess its my fault for not looking into that beforehand.

Congrats OP! That's a fully loaded car. Enjoy!
For AARP discount, I think it outweighs the CCA rebate as it not only gives you $1.5k credit, but also drops MF by .00020. It's a better deal IMO. Tim |
