Over 45 minutes on the phone with EA explaining that I need the plug and charge contract and they still don’t know what I’m talking about, the person who answered the phone keeps checking with someone internally, hopefully someone will know how to do it

It's not really a contract that you need but rather a certificate to support plug-and-charge. It's likely that the person you're speaking with simply is without clue but it may help to use certificate in place of contract just in case. Good luck. This really shouldn't be very difficult.

I had the same experience, but for some reason it just doesn't show up for some people or only shows up weeks later. I suppose it's par for the course given the generally inconsistent EA experience overall.

Email EA support and give them your vin make and model and tell them to push the contract to your car.
Are you signed in with your profile in the car? Is everything showing properly connected to on MYBMW and charging contract

When I sign up, the last step asks me for credit card. Is this normal?

Yes. You need a credit card on file even for free charging. They will run a $20 pre auth which will never turn into a charge unless you exceed 30 minutes or incur an idle fee.

What is interesting is that I charged up using EA and everything worked fine except after 18 minutes it shut off. Have no idea why.

Will try another Ea station in a few days and see how that works

I don’t think this has anything to do with plug and charge and is more likely related to the EA charger. The plug and charge authentication starts at the beginning of the charge session.

I agree but never had that happen before.

On another bright note I charged using a ChargePoint DCFC max of 62.5.

The car charged from 65% to 90% steady at that max rate.

My Mach E dropped to 40 and below at 80% and higher , pleasantly surprised.

The charge at EA was also much much faster.

You should be hitting over 100kw easily up to about 80% and slowly tapering down to get to 100%.
