Last I heard it was differing electrical standards that prevented them from offering European delivery.

It would be easy to make a power cord adapter so you could charge a US car from a European charger. A charging cord adapter is not currently legal in Europe, so that is probably preventing Euro Delivery. The IEC TC69 committee is reviewing proposals for adapters, so maybe in the future they will be available in Europe.

If only the i8 could drive without charging from a public charging station.
So sad.

European Delivery is one of my very favorite things about BMW. IMO it is the best program of its type, period. Some great people involved in the program.
I would be all over a 2016 ED if it were available.

My dealer explained that some of the USA retrofit is done at the POE and therefore European delivery not possible. That new M6 is making more and more sense especially since it can be had with a manual trans.
