Door Button Replacement

Has anyone ever replaced this button on the door handle or know the best way to do so? Just got the car, it’s a 2019 with 20k mi so I’m surprised it’s worn so heavily.

It's not that it's worn down. Be careful with using hand sanitizer, Plastic will come off.. had to replace my start button because of that.

very interested in this too, I think mine melted from heat, 2019 model as well with 20k km in Montreal (ain't even hot). I don't use hand sanitizer

I figured it out. At the bottom of the handle (facing the floor) there is a small opening to put trim removal tools in. Once the handle is off it's straightforward to replace with a new button.

Jjoynt where did you source the replacement door button from? I just switched out my 2016 plastic interior trim for the 2019 OEM CF and found the door handles to be the hardest and most stressful install piece by far! Required a lot of force in just the right places to remove and reattach, and the door button in particular is easy to push in but pretty finicky to push out. I ended up breaking one of the little tabs off. Can't tell, but I know its not perfect. Considered getting a replacement, but only one I could find was from GB on ebay. Any advice? Also, any tips for others on how to safely do the install?
