Break-in period
Manual says after 300 miles the full power is available. Anything else I should know?

I don’t think power is limited during the break in period as with some ICE vehicles, but drive cautiously and avoid launch control starts for the first 300 miles. That’s all the manual says about the matter.

Unlike ICE cars, I think the motors are ready to go from ground zero. The recommended 300 miles is to wear-in other moving or contacting components like any vehicle - brakes, wheel bearings, suspension, steering.

Makes sense. I took it easy for those components, especially the tires and brakes (and assume the drivetrain as well). Soon I’ll unleash the beast. But honestly the car is so luxurious I’m not in a hurry to blitz a stoplight.

Mine is at 2k miles, and it is still evolving (i don't like the term breaking in) and getting better and more efficient.
The acceleration and motor braking have lost their jerkiness and are now nice & smooth, and all the controls including steering feel better as the switchgear gets use. Mileage is seriously increased. 100% charge gives me almost 400 miles of mixed driving, up from around 300 when new. Some of that may be my interphase with the car improving, but I'm sure that most of it is the car, which seems to get nicer on every trip. |

I don’t think the “range” shown in the car is completely accurate.
Max average I have gotten is 3.3 on one stretch of highway. With a useable battery of 105 that’s a max distance of 346. Most of my driving is about 3.1 =325 so even if the car says 380 for example, I take that with a grain of salt. |

I did a trip of 380 miles this last weekend, up & back to Saratoga Springs. Small roads meandering up, Interstates straight back down. Efficiency mode, air temp was perfect in the beautiful spring wx. Thought I would be DC charging somewhere, but I got home with about 22% battery left, 3.1 mi/kwh, by far my best yet.
Got to see Peter Rowan at the iconic Cafe Lena folk coffee house. Great times! |

I looked at My trip history and my miles driven were indeed a bunch less than what I had route planned. No wonder I didn't need to charge on my way back.
Needs work. I miss having an odometer I can zero out. |
