My x5 vs i3

So a friend of mine got an i3 as a loaner car and went against me in my xdrive35i x5. We did a couple runs from a stop and he was in the other lane right at my rear bumper every single time. I was in sport mode with the sport dsc off and each run was consistent. I was really surprised. Your thoughts?

UP to about 40mph, the i3 is the fastest car BMW makes. EV's make max torque at zero RPM, so off the line, other than tire grip, an EV can really take off. Now, faster, it runs out of oomph. It does not weigh all that much, and 170Hp isn't bad.

If it was the REx, then that was the slower i3. The BEV version is noticeably quicker.

Dealers normally loan out REx cars.
