i3/8 paint care

Folks,

Our cars' body panels are plastic.
Do they have a layer or clear coat?
How do you maintain the paint/plastic, beyond washing?

They are base coat clear coat, the only real difference between this and steel body panels is when buffing with anything but a dual action be carful not to create heat and don't stay still as you can cause real issues. At least that's one issue I know of.

Also the paint on this car seems to be real soft I've noticed.
