I was driving my NSX today, and while only 40F here it was dry and sunny for one this winter in Pittsburgh. Sure was nice!

Maybe it's good that I haven't received my i8 yet (due April 21) as it hit 97 today in Los Angeles. Too hot to drive in, but no problem with traction

You will have different traction problems unless you upgrade wheels and tires....lol. Pics when you get you car!

I have been given a brand new I8 demo car whilst my M6 GC is in for a service, i was very sceptical of the I8 but after 24hrs of living it, I can conclude its bloody fantastic even though its a 3 cylinder engine. I'd gladly trade in my M6 for one of these. So easy to drive, pleasing on the eye and a great drive.

Shame it goes back tomorrow !!

Wow, an i8 as a loaner! Not bad man!
And welcome to the i8.
I was originally thinking M6 but also got sold on the i8 after a day with it.

It's what I say to everybody, ignore the numbers, you need to drive it to appreciate it, and for a least a day or two. Glad you enjoyed, another advocate!

I am a cyclist, 66 years old and I still do some racing. I am somewhat of a fitness fanatic so I actually enjoy getting in and out of the car - being slender with a pretty good power to weight ratio helps. It might be a bit different for a larger person and I have seen some of my friends struggle a bit with it. I told my wife, who is also a cyclist and very fit, that anyone who has trouble with the doors should probably think twice about owning such a car. She took that as a challenge and pops in and out quickly with nary a complaint. In fact, she lkes the i8 way more than the M5 that I had.

I agree that the doors add some supercar appeal. I used to think that they were a bit gimmicky but I have grown quite fond of them.

I had a M6. i8 is a much better car than M6. M6 is heavy and bulky. Once you drive it for a while there is no going back to M6

Last two days has been all NSX. Mind blowing car gents. Could be the best car I've ever driven, certainly best I've ever owned.
