Well, I have an i8!

Gents and Ladies,

I have had an i8 earlier than expected! A friend of mine relinquished his order and his spec was similar to mine:

*sophisto grey / blue accents (i prefer frozen grey).
*turbine wheels.
*ivory leather.
*harman kardon.
a few other nice goodies.

I paid very slightly over list but nothing like what you guys see in America.

I have kept my own order and my (2nd) car will arrive in earliy April (sophisto / frozen grey / turbines / dalergia brown interior).

So far I love the car. The best ride of any sportscar i have ever owned.

Calm and relaxing when wanted (around town) yet superb, responsive, sharp and exciting on the open road.
I hardly burned any fuel so far as I mainly used it on short trips and the car is fully charged.

Some things i still struggle with:
*how do i play spotify from my ipod in the car?
*what are the 3 buttons under the rear view mirror?
*can i get my side mirrors to retract automatically when i stop the car and lock it?

The car is just awesome. Any other London owners?

Congratulations. Welcome to the club.

The three buttons under the rear view mirror transmit signals, when programmed, to open gates and garage doors.

Just start spotify on your phone and plug into the usb in the armrest. Spotify will pop up on on the list of inputs, think it goes away if you lock your phone.

Just hold the lock button on your remote.

ahh that old chestnut! I will try it. Thank you very much!

Now one more thing, any chance to be able to automatically tilt the side mirror (passenger side) when engaging reverse?

I ask because despite all the lateral cameras, it can be tricky to avoid kerbing the wheels.

Turbines are too beautiful to damage..

Very nice mate, congrats! Car's not bad either
Same colour/blue trim/wheels as mine will be in a month & a bit, looks great.
Try flicking the left/right switch for adjusting the mirrors to the other way to what it is now, the downward tilt should work.

Just like I told the other new I8 owner - Nice looking ride - congrats and welcome to the board!

Hey just curious if you guys in the UK are getting the same lousey electric range as us in the US- full charge goes to only 15-16 miles - in Sport mode only charges to around 10-12 are you the same?

Mike

Audi you leave the switch in the middle and the mirrors would work. Perhaps thats what he means

No you have to put it to the other side (don't know exactly if it's left or right).
If it doesn't tilt now, it will tilt when you flip the switch (reverse engaged) and you can leave it there next time it will tilt again .

I think you flick it to the right, as though you were adjusting the right hand mirror. Then when you put the car in reverse, the left hand (passenger in UK) mirror should tilt down. I only said the other way cos I couldn't remember

Eta beaten to it!

Thanks guys. The photos above were actually taken on a mini road trip on the nice roads of Kent.

Both my wife and i use blackberry's as they are the default choice for work. Would not have anything else for that purpose anyway. Battery life is excellent and they can be take a lot of abuse!
Still got myself my very first iphone for personal usage, just to monitor my i8!
