Just messing around, and thought I'd try a darker shade of blue. Looks better IMO.

I could get this effect on 4x new turbines (have my old ones on spare for end of lease) for £2300ish

Probably cheaper on the w turbine, thought I don't like this design as much

Note this will be a painted front face and the turbines will be black. Still diamond cut, unlike the powder coat which will add weight and round off the sharp edges

Welcome your thoughts? Not bad compared against hre wheels which would be £10k plus inc tyres

I was quoted under £388 + VAT for doing all 4 wheels, by a very reputable wheel firm.

I did not pursue it though, as I am not sure I prefer the look. It's certainly eye-catching on the white car though, so I have not discounted the idea.

If you mean £2300 including wheels, that seems a good deal. But if buying new wheels, I would really want to get wider ones.

Yeah another set of original alloys as I can't mess with the originals as it's leased. I would love wider alloys but I prefer the turbine look. I do want to take it to 11!

So if I don't like the look I can change them, I do like the original polished finish. I may put winter tyres on the new set maybe that will give extra grip!

Put up pics if you do it.

That's not at all bad for a spare set, for a different look

Interesting. This video of the car with the sound mod, seems to have standard Turbine wheels, with the inner black sections re-coloured.

Makes them look like different wheels. I'm trying to imagine them in Blue.

Well I know it will split opinion but I have bought a spare set of turbines which will be diamond cut iblue with black turbines and crystal white centre pentagon.

Should be done on 3 weeks. Don't ask me how they do it on a CnC but they paint blue then powder coat black and then diamond cut the front face powder off leaving the iblue paint

My project, a spare set of stock turbines. Painted i Blue, powder coated black, centre crystal white, diamond cut so only the front face is iblue.

Once the centre cap and bolts are very little of the white will show but I wanted to tie in with the car

I have the option of turning the blue from gloss to satin?

Open to the forum?

Satin I think so it makes the gloss black stand out better.

Also the blue highlights on the sill, etc are not very glossy so will work with those better IMO.

Yup satin finish being applied should be complete this week.

Need to decide on tyres, want MPSS's like a "tramp on chips". Reached out on the forum cause I'm struggling with clearance anxiety!

On a minor note BMW refuse to give the colour code for iblue but yes to crystal white?? but on the colour scanning machine this paint shop has, shows it is identical to a Peugeot blue.

That's bad form by BMW

They should be happy to help a customer.

Garage List
Perhaps satin will match the frozen accents best? Looking forward to seeing them installed!
