Trip odometer re-setting on its own

Has anyone else had this problem? Mine did it today after I charged it last night. The trip computer function is set on automatic re-set, but that has never included the trip odometer, which requires pushing the odd shaped button on the lower left of the "instrument cluster."

Weird.

Oh, and my passenger "door card" is falling off. Along with the other problems I've experienced the i8 has only average QC and reliability. Sad for a $140K car.

No such issues here. Apart from a gearbox sensor issue almost two years ago, I'm quite happy with the quality.

Nor me.

It's not been in for a service and reset by the software update?

Glad no one else is having this problem. Which leads me to wonder if I somehow hamfistedly re-set the damn trip odometer myself.

Malibu-

I have had this happen on 3 or 4 occasions. First time I thought the gf might have pressed the reset button. Since then we have stayed away from the reset button, it definitely resets by itself. It is not just you.

I've got the opposite problem, mine is stuck on 9999, clearly space for a 5th so don't know why.

Is the reset operation for this the same as mpg and the other stats?

Ugh. Sorry to hear that. Well, I'm bringing it in Friday to have the passenger door put back on. I'll add this to the list.

Press the reset button in the lower left of the "instrument cluster."

This just happened to me for the first time this morning. I have never reset my mileage indicator on the lower left dash button or within the iDrive settings. But this morning the dash mileage displayed "0.0". Then a few miles later I look at it again and it's all of a sudden back to 42.8 - where it was yesterday. Just this temporary weird glitch as no buttons were touched nor was it changed from turning the car off/on. Pics:

Longboarder that's your MPG rating. The trip odometer is on the other side.

As for the left side, you can put different data in the lower left corner by toggling the top of the left stalk emanating from the steering column.
