Perhaps the lack of drain for eco is because of the reduced performance and not getting much battery assist unless using a lot of throttle.

How are driving? Still stabbing the throttle down quite a long way at every opportunity to enjoy the electric surge and pickup? If you are then you will drain the battery quick in comfort and eco. In sport it will regen the battery but when doing so you'll get much worse economy.

What do you consider "up to speed" in Eco mode?

This has been mostly with "stop and go" town driving which may be the culprit. I will try driving a bit more on the highway to see if the results differ.
