New i8 Arriving On Friday

Okay, it looks like I'm about to join the ranks of i8 owners. I got a pull-ahead offer from BMW on my 2014 M6 Coupe and will be taking on a blue 2016 i8 (Tera World).

Gonna hate to lose my M6, but the i8 is stunning looking. I'll trade a bit of performance (and terrific sound, since I had the RPi GTM exhaust) for overall satisfaction.

Looking forward to it!

Best of luck, I went from an AMG M-B to an i8 and although the Benz was a great car, there is nothing like an i8.

Great to hear! I test drove the i8 a couple of months ago and honestly, didn't expect too much. I was shocked at what I discovered. The stats don't tell the whole story at all!

Congrats. The i8 is something special. True it's not an M6 from a performance perspective but you find yourself being interested in other things like using no gas and just chillin out. Kinda cathartic lol.

That's what happened to a couple of us.....was able to get one in 2014 and didn't know what to expect. Has become my nice weather daily driver vs. weekend cruiser, that's how good this car is.....but the market introduction was a disaster by BMW, or at least uninspiring.

You will not miss the M6 but maybe the sound you will.....kept my M3 for that reason.
