Production delay??
Whilst production has started, here in the UK BMW has gone very quiet on when the first customer cars will be delivered.
From what I can establish the first cars will be pure electric and Rex is now delayed to Feb/March. I don't mind waiting but looks like BMW has been over optimistic with its production dates or as I think may well be the case a far higher percentage of orders are for the Rex meaning they are having to rescale production of the petrol engine. |

Isn't the REX motor a motorcycle engine? Knowing the way those are built, for summer demand, I'd imagine they probably have a warehouse full of them just laying around.

In the US, haven't we heard all along that the REX would follow about three months later and that all initial orders would be the full electric model?

Hmm, I guess my dealer just speculated on that then, as I was told the REX would trail the regular version by three months this summer. No big deal though, the comically small tank capacity of the REX sort of ruled the whole i3 out for me, at least until they offer more range for occasional road trips.
