Looks amazing as always. Even those wheels, which are my least favorite of the bunch I've seen on the i8, are growing in me in these photos. They appear to have a certain futuristic look that matches the i8 very well.

I agree. I initially thought these wheels were the worst selection, but as I've looked more at them in comparison to the other options, I've come to like them. In fact, this combination of the crystal white with the turbine style wheels has become my favorite. Can't wait to place my official order.

I like the contrast of white with the "black belt" over the top. But I'm going for something a little more subtle (as subtle as an i8 gets at least) with the grey. I like the Style-625 Turbines.

Yeah that looks really good, Carac.
BMW has done a great job mixing and matching with the stock options for wheels and colors. I've seen some photoshops of conventional wheels (one just posted on Bimmerfest) that made me want to throw up a little bit in my mouth. |

I also like the grey as shown on the configure web page, but don't find it quite as appealing in the real life photos, where it appears to be a lighter shade of grey than the configure image. Nonetheless, I think the i8 will look spectacular in any combination of colors and wheels (except for the ones shown on Bimmerfest).

It stays clean looking longer. Now if only there was a red interior option. |

Looks really good in this combo!
Front bumper needs a bit more aggression tho. Won't be surprised if an M Performance edition comes out.

Not sure about the new "body color only" photos. I like the front and the sides, but the rear looks unfinished for some reason, like they just took off a panel! The front does look pretty aggressive though.

i wish they designed the grills in a way that it would show...the front is not looking like a BMW signature without the stripes...(or are they there and I can't see them?!)
alfa romeo has a few designs that look like front of i8 without the grills... |

BMW i8, yeah....
In the meantime, while BMW is fooling around wasting billions on these projects... the rest of the BMW's core fanbase is finding other brands, because BMW has lost focused on the simple things. Those simple things are what sustained BMW for the last 30 years. Uno, smaller, agile, rwd, lsd powered cars. (phun cars) Unfortunately, BMW now only offers fluffy cars.. with zero BMW heritage & focus.. the reason after 30 years of being a BMW enthusiast, I can honestly say there is not a current car in BMW's lineup that I would want to own. That is pretty sad, given that 10 years ago I coveted many BMWs. Today, I am told to wait two more years, until BMW graces us with the M2... Problem is, Many are not going to wait on BMW to find their focus, as I have already been waiting YEARS for them to show me something, & the i8 isn't it, (nor is the M3 or M4). I really hope the M2 can save BMW's image & heritage, if not I doubt I'll ever come back... |

i'm sorry i guess i'm just not sophisticated enough to see the beauty in this thing...
I still think the 6 series is about 10000x sexier than this thing could hope to ever be. Ditto on the R8. Not to say this isn't a technological marvel. but looks wise, just does nothing for me. |

I love this color and wheel combination! This definitely slants more towards sport than efficient like many of the other show cars we have seen. It'll be interesting to see what kind of performance upgrades you can wring out of this beast by upping the engine and battery power, as well as increasing the tire width.
