I was shocked to see the i8 only has the small iDrive screen, while the i3 has the big one.

One of those gentlemen is a client of ours. I kinda figured he would be getting one. I might take the plunge in a year or so. Initially I wasn't awestruck but that white has slowly visually seduced me.

Interesting. Young celebs and athletes don't seem to be among the early adopters.
All the best.

I wonder if some of those older gents have tried getting in and out of the car before ordering.

First BMW i8s Delivered to their younger owners.
Yesterday was a big day for some young BMW i8 fans with the first batch of their very own 1/64 i8s to be delivered in Crystal White , Protronic Blue and Ionic Silver.

Of course there has been numerous i8s in the country for 1-2 years. But these cars are the first customer cars. But as far as I know, no i8 has been delivered yet for customers via ordinary dealer, anywhere. At least not in the US.

I have no doubt all those new i8 owners have owned extensively from the BMW catalogue....well the group behind the front guy certainly would have all spent plenty of time being driven in their 7's. |

I'm sure this is a huge step up from their F cars and Bugattis.

I saw one on last Friday at I5 near intersection of 605 and man, I never liked the car but it looks seriously stunning in real. On picture, I thought they were very plastic looking and too much decorative stuffs. It felt like I was in the future just by passing by it. Whoever that was, thanks for showing off your car! (I was in grey X5..)

the haters will hate...
whatever you think of the i8, these are the types of people who get the first versions of all 100k plus cars. they are rich and successful and this is their 20th+ 100k+ car. don't hate on them because they are successful (which usually takes time)...

I think these stats (old white CEO guy) demostrate very well what networth you should have to buy a 100k car. Something people in times of cheap credit forget.
in person i8 has quite a presence - much bigger than i thought.

If it took a net worth of 8-9 figures to buy a $100k car, the car industry would be in huge trouble.
