i8 UK deliveries

Any ideas when the first uk deliveries will start?
I placed our order just over a year back, delivery date still not 100% confirmed.
Latest is end of December 2014.

Deliveries have started. Did you order the pure impulse pack? If you did you will get yours earlier.

Yes pure impulse. So folks in Uk already have their cars ?
My dealer advised me that no one has had a car in the UK yet - earliest being for pure impulse which will be late December / early January

My dealer hasn't had their first customer car arrive yet either, despite it supposedly to be arriving this month (N.B. they ordered PI package).

I pretty sure I've seen customer car sightings in the UK. And the latest issue of Top Gear magazine had July 19th listed as the release date. Dunno.

I had a BMW (uk) car for a few hours a few
Weeks back - and it was the vehicle that top gear had driven - I am pretty sure any uk sitings are the demo cars that BmW have delivered to dealerships for
Demo purposes.

Not that it means anything but I've attached the ad

Of course, the US "launch" was last week but ask how many people that aren't Rick Hendrick in the US have theirs...

I put my name on the list a couple of years ago and I believe I am getting my dealers first customer car.

Bristol Dick Lovett delivered their first car - well its awaiting pick up on 1st September because of registration change, else it would already have been delivered.

Park Lane I am sure have delivered cars already as I am sure other i Dealers around UK have as well.

I am on the list for the Spyder. Love the i8 coupe, but I think the spyder will be the car to have with that carbon tub. Doors supposedly opening the way they do on the coupe. Ride comfort as good as the Mclaren MP4-12C. Plus by the time the spyder out, the flaws would have been ironed out ( I always worry about first model runs - ala the 458 and the fires). I was surprised how similar the i8 steering was to the 458. The sound was not bad, almost as good as my R8, but very impressive for a 1.5 L (although it is synthetic did not feel it)

Enjoy your cars. Hope they arrive shortly!

@Reshdiu, did you take any more pics of that demo i8? I've spec'd mine in Sophisto Grey, but am still not 100% certain whether to go for i Blue accents or Frozen Grey accents. IMHO the i Blue looks fine on the front (around the grille) and on the sides, but I think it is a little too much for what is already a 'fussy' rear-end, hence wondering if the Frozen Grey tones the rear-end down a bit(?)

Excellent stuff. Perfect timing to test its all wheel drive capabilities out! Haven't seen a supercar better than the R8 in the snow yet, this may just be it!
