This will bring your monthly payment (no tax) down to $1,303.23. And (with tax) to $1,381.42 per month. Saving you about $96 a month or $3,456 over the 36 months of the lease. And yes that's how much you would have been over paying in interest alone.

But you gotta find out exactly how much money they want you to pay out of pocket upfront, and have them itemize it, then post it here so we can see if they are hiding more profit in fees. It will at least let you know what kind of deal you're really working with.
Good stuff, I'm going to see what I can do today as far as the APR goes. Also see what is possible in regards to going the multiple security deposit route.

They lowered the money factor to 0.00157 so they came down but it's still 3500 down and the monthly payment has only gone down to 1435.

Not so sure about this "AMAZING" deal they keep saying they have.

Can you please post the money factor and residuals you're using to get to this price? Also, the discount from Msrp? Thanks!

Going in for a test drive tomorrow at a dealer outside of Pittsburgh. They have 3 on the lot. I'll let you all know what I can negotiate. Anything under 1350 a month I'm doing the deal I think.

I've been looking into leasing an i8 for a long time and this is what I learned from my personal experience. With zero down (except fees), 10k/36mo on an approx. 150k MSRP i8 (cap cost discounts being variable from dealer to dealer), with a tax rate associated to So. Cal, and MF being at 0.00157, the monthly payment usually fluctuates between $1400 to $1550. Mind you, this does not include MSD because, I'd rather not have to put up additional money up front if I don't have to...even though it is returned to me at the end of the lease. With this being said, I would consider anything below $1400 a "deal." What I've realized..."in general"...is that those people that are getting $1200 or lower deals have some other "deals" included into the lease. For example, I looked into a $1250/mo deal a member here received. It turns out, he had a corporate fleet deal included into the lease that most people aren't eligible for. Or, they received a cap cost discount that is normally unheard of and is rare. How these people received this deal? I have no idea. If these discounts were offered on a regular basis, why don't more members mentioning their deals? Again, I want to remind members that this is a personal experience thus far on my quest to lease an i8. I'm not trying to put anyone on the blast...just sharing what I've experienced.

Z.

BTW, as a current X5 driver, I thought BMW's Pull Ahead Program would get me out of my X5 lease 3 months sooner. But I was told that Pull Ahead is not eligible for X5s. Not sure if it is for all BMWs or just X5s. This doesn't make sense, because Porsche (which I'm also looking into) has a similar Conquest Program that get's people out of there lease 3 months ahead. If this is the case, why wouldn't people just go to another brand that is offering similar program to get out of their lease sooner? Only reason I can think of why people wouldn't take advantage of this is (assuming people of similar situation as me) is they only want an i8...or another BMW.

My deal was to be about $1K - it was a BMW exec car (yes, one of the caveats you talk about). I also know the dealer very very well and he was basically letting the car go with very little profit (there was a spiff for sales people during that time and he would make his money with that spiff). I believe the guy he ended up selling it to paid less than $1,100 a month -and nobody, I mean nobody wanted this deal back then (thus I started a thread!).

I did not end up doing the deal, as cool as it would have been to own an i8. My car was not close on the pull ahead and even if it was, the dealership had a limited number of pull aheads and had already used them up. So I would have ended up with an i8, a 650GC, and a 1M - with a two car garage - and oh crap, my wife has two cars too.

But there was more... that car is a bitch to get in and out of. I'm not sure I could do that for 2-3 years. Worse, what does it look like when I pull up at work in that thing? And...how does the comment "it is $300 a month less than what I'm paying for my 650 sound?".

and..

It would have been damn cool to have an i8 for a couple of years
