I thought I had to share this with you . I was on the phone within the car using BMW I Drive's Bluetooth . My phone is SONY XPERIA Z2 . I stopped the engine but opposite site kept talking and so did I . Well, I thought I was useless and wouldn't like to draw the batteries because the phone stayed connected to the car and other systems kept running .
I pressed the door release button to get out of the car .The door flew open (sounds fantastic ,I know it's cool ) I pushed the door down to close it and the phone disconnected from the car while I was talking however the call didn't drop which was very useful , neat and convenient as well
In my previous car, I wouldn't like to reveal brand name on purpose because I don't like to sound like a brand basher ,when you open the door to get out of the car the call would drop given same conditions I described above .
So, long words in short, well done to BMW I Drive Engineers .You can keep talking without hanging up a phone call if you get out of the car even with your bluetooth stays connected

It's the little things that make a difference. I've heard of this complaint from a certain manufacturer that I won't name either. But they were very pleased that the call didn't drop in a BMW.

Good point. We sometimes take things for granted without noticing, because they work.

Works with music, too, btw. Play Spotify over BT, get out of the car, music will continue out of the phone's speaker. Got to remember to turn it off, if you just pulled in at work. ;-)

Lol. I'm so glad I work in music, can't tell you how many times I've walked into places without noticing whatever song I was playing in my car is now blasting through my pocket.
