Does the blue light stay on the whole time during charging? Mine shut off after 5 mins or so. The app says it still charging, so I guess it's fine.

Also the charger seems a little hard to pull out, like you have to push down to get it out. Does this sound right?

Yes, it turns off.

Is the car unlocked when you pull it out? It should be. It isn't hard for me to pull the charger out.

Once I like the car, it doesn't blink anymore.

The blue light stays on until charging is complete on mine. Never had a problem removing the plug; comes right out.

Mine does keep blinking until the charging is complete . Once it is completed I see nothing is flashing . I press any button on the key fob ,the charger indicator turns solid green to notify that charging is done
When I try to unplug the charging cable that goes into the car , I first press the unlock button on the key fob to release the charging cable . I didn't know I was supposed to press the button to easily remove the cable that was attached to the car .

Ok I think the car is locked. I will unlock it and see if that works

The blue shuts-off on mine after a few seconds once it has flashed a few time confirming it is charging.
