No doubt man the 911 turbo is an amazing platform for modification. It doesn't make a 720S look slow though, amazingly enough. It runs 9.7 at 147 and 175+ in the half mile. Stupid fast car.

Well the 720 is fast no doubt. But on a very hot day it didnt do 175 in the half. It did 169 sat and then 171 on sunday at Shift Sector and i was consistent 174 and the next weekend which was cooler at NoFlyZone i did nearly 180. I just wish the owner of the 720 would have raced me (i asked, he declined) so i could have shown how much faster a bolt on 991 Turbo S really is. Off the line it would have been a massacre (anyone at the event would have concurred) and the 991 would have just kept pulling away. By the way the 720 and i were on the same tires.

You can come close today for less money so the Roadster is not really a big deal. My 991 Turbo S with a couple bolt ons does mid-high 9's at 144. 0-60 in low 2's. On street tires. It makes a 720S seem slow. My buddy's 991 with similar mods but better rear tires drove a couple hundred miles to MIR and did 10 passes all at 9.6 seconds at 144-147 mph.

Here's my 991 in action at NoFlyZone this month and pictures from Shift Sector in October where the 720S declined to race me unfortunately since he knew the outcome already.

Wow you have some Balls to write that statement (My 991 Turbo S with a couple bolt ons does mid-high 9's at 144. 0-60 in low 2's. On street tires. It makes a 720S seem slow.) Key word "bolt ons" you are Modified and the 720s is stock... it make a 720s seem slow

No doubt hot weather crushes these turbos as does 91 octane. Cooler weather though and good gas it's a monster. Drag Times just posted a video of it beating a 930 hp GTR. 175+ half mile is easily achievable under decent conditions with the 720S. Not saying your Turbo isn't a beast though, man, because it is!!!

I like Brooks he's a great guy. And we talked about racing but unfortunately I'm west coast he's east coast. Tempted to ship my 991 out there and demonstrate what it can do against his 720.

Thank you yes Porsche had made an amazing platform to work with. Very easy to tap into the hidden power.

By the way, the 720S at Shift Sector which was slower than me wasn't stock. It had the cats removed and had toyo r888 tires. If you saw the recent dragtimes video, the decat 720 was quite a bit faster than the stock 720

Cheers.

IIRC it was 667 on the GIAC mustang load dyno, which is approx 750 dynojet. It drives like stock and has an umbrella warranty from Champion Motorsports that runs the duration of the manufacturers warranty.

I wish GIAC/Champion has a bolt on kit for my i8!!

You and me both! I'm thinking of tuning my NSX next year. Absolutely getting the Fabspeed exhaust and sport cats. Fabspeed said that alone adds 70 hp and allows the car to run mid 10s. Only $5k.
