Seems to be the same sort of unintelligible Rant... I think you might be on to something!
...also looks like he's in some sort of a financial bind. Poor guy!

Sonny sent me a hilarious, angry PM. Whined that I injected politics into this thread. I told him to re-read his posts and look into the mirror.

Here's the PM. I was impressed at how intelligent and well thought out it was:

Maybe the poor guy should consider getting a second job to help augment his finances. I hear there's an opening (or two) at the White House... Unfortunately (for everyone), the one "issuing thoughtless rants" seems to be spoken for... ...However, it looks like it might be vacated sooner than originally planned!

I went back through Sonny's posts trying to figure out why he was whining at me. I couldn't find anything. But in 2017 he posted he had just acquired a 2014 i8.
The last time I bought a used BMW (or used car of any kind) was in 1971. My first BMW, a Bavaria.

you guys act like i care!! i own an i8 & i think it's a great value. i said that the roadster is simply overpriced. that's it. then liberals have to inject when their feelings get hurt. but anyways, i'm a little busy arranging an appointment tomorrow bringing my broke ass to the McLaren dealer tomorrow to decide between a 650s spider & a 570s coupe. then, once i abandon this website filled with whiny liberals you can catch me on the McLaren forums where people are a bit more genuine. enjoy your i8's all! a side note, i simply said I DO NOT SEE A REASON SPENDING $165,000 ON A 3 PISTON CAR. that is IT. i owned a 650i, it was a pile of shit. owned a 328i, slow & heavy steering. my i8 is constantly in the shop (third time in the shop in less than 10 months of ownership) so i just wouldn't buy another iteration of the 3 cylinder toy car that the i8 is. for that price you can buy a big old McLaren V8 or R8 V10. i'm putting it into perspective how much more car you're getting for $165,000

Sonny, I am here to defend you against these faux liberal elites. For starters, I'm guessing there was a typo in the above quote from you. What you really wanted to say was that MalibuBimmer was a MORMON not a moron. He'll have to let us know if that is true but I don't judge you for that mistake, as I can imagine how difficult it is to type on a Commodore 64. As for my own thoughts on MalibuBimmer, I believe he is or was a lawyer. Hardy, har, har, can you imagine what kind of lawyer he would make. I bet that self-serving Mormon wouldn't know how to write a non-disclosure agreement to protect someone from wild accusations by a porn star if his life depended on it. And while we're on the subject of POTUS, I'm sure, like me, you find yourself constantly defending this outstanding American against all of the haters. Don't people realize he epitomizes the American dream. A poor immigrant from Slovenia who arrived in the US without a penny to his name and then built a business empire based on trust, honesty and good old blood-sucking capitalism. Oh, what's that you say? No, I didn't realize that it was actually FLOTUS who came from Slovenia. Well, no matter, he'll still make America great again once he gets the cabinet that he really wants, for example installing Wayne LaPierre as secretary of defense. Okay, enough rambling on my part. Keep up your good work standing up for all freedom-loving Americans. And by the way, be sure to say hi to David Duke for me. Last edited by drlonline; 03-16-2018 at 06:08 PM.. |

Who in their right mind would by an old car when they can 'easily' afford a new one? No-one really likes to throw money away, but even then a nearly new car has taken a fair chunk of the dep hit, so surely that's the one a 'well heeled, but value conscious chap' would buy? Doesn't stack up. A 328! Lol |

Sonny its not what you said, its the overall vibe, its how you presented your thoughts, the tone, and then to say " i will battle anyone who thinks im wrong "
you talk about other forums and how they're willing to help, i highly doubt they would be so helpful if you start a thread with the sole purpose of being confrontational. had you came here looking for a real discussion, you would have gotten one. |

If people pay more for an Aston Martin, then why not 165k for the roadster i8? It is one of the best looking cars in the market, even cars much more expensive than it. It’s more gas efficient than most cars, despite doing 0-60 in 3.6 seconds (Car & Driver 2015)?
