i3s, anyone get one?
I was wondering if anyone has taken delivery of an i3s? Pics not necessary as its close to the i3. Was wondering about driving impressions, etc. Likes, not so much, etc.
Decided to get a leftover 2017 REX late in the year when I heard that the new battery was not available for some time yet. I can say that the extra range in the 2017 REX over the 2015 REX that I turned in, has made a big difference for me. I live in the Northeast, and with one fast charge and a REX tank, I can go almost anywhere. In the warmer, I regularly charge to 120 to 140 miles overnight. Range with the REX in ecopro is 220 miles for me. That said, another 50% would be nice. I must admit, that when I get in my other car, an X3d with 625 miles of range, that also feels good. I am amazed that I can go down the hiway at 62 mph in cruze at 42-44 mpg. Bailyhill

I picked one up on Tuesday with everything but the blue seatbelts. I’m coming from a 2014 REx so I can give my assessment of the difference the S makes. Short answer is it makes a big difference. Bigger battery is great (I’m in Brooklyn) and Sport mode makes a huge difference in the driving characteristics. I actually prefer how it drives in Comfort best as it feels a little faster than my 2014 but more stable and planted. The motor also has a slightly “beefier” tone to its whine. Im really happy with the S upgrade, while incremental, makes the car drive much more like a BMW than previous non-S models.
