interesting. I like the concept, but i do not like the position or style of the side view mirrors. Makes the car look like it has flippers.

Why aren't the bmw roundels masked up? Every other camo'd car we've seen all have the roundels on the hood, wheels and boot covered, except this? I can't believe they 'forgot' them

You look at that and really have to wonder WTF is that??? Heaps of geometrical shapes bonded together.

Completely ruins the point of the project. Plus, this car will probably start around $100k Look for it compete with the R8. That's all this is...

"V8s , V10"- to do so defeats the entire purpose of the project.
If you have seen the video of Ex BMW Design director Chris Bangle talking about Supercars in general then you understand BMW's decision previously in regards to Supercars. A supercar comes and goes... some linger , some dont, but they all get 15 minutes until the next one comes along. BMW i8 is all about relevance and what does a sports car in the future do to survive especially in the age of sustainability and alternative drivetrains. BMW i8 is cutting edge design with ground breaking technology and construction. Everyone else is turning petrol driven sports cars into electric cars. BMW are not that is why the BMW i8 is and will be a game changer. BMWi is not about conventional , This is the future you were promised when you were younger but did not materialize. Science Fiction in the present. Welcome to the Brave New World.

petrol into fully electric and BMW is different because it is a hybrid gas-electric? If BMW was a true game changer this car would be electric deisel. The game-changing would come from clever marketing that would teach the world deisel is the future, petrol is an anchor in the environmental future. |

My BMW rep said here will be two version of this car. one priced around 200K and one around 120K. There will be a performance version of this car from what was discussed. Not going to be at a price point that will favor the mass population.
