Scott Hughes is the first owner of the amazing BMW i8 in South Carolina. He gave us full access to the car and sat down for an interview of his thoughts on it.

Nice video. I owned a 1600 back in the 1960's, similar to the 2002 with a smaller engine. It was an amazing car compared to what was available back then. The i8 is a technology tour de force, but in real terms it is so much more costly than the 2002 that it is difficult to make a comparison. Things were a lot different back then. My 1600 had crank windows, no AC and no radio until I loaned the car to my brother for a summer and he put one in. The manual transmission had only four speeds.

Awesome video, terrific production and certainly Scott and Fran are not only huge BMW fans they are absolutely wonderful people as well. Their contributions to BMW , BMW CCA and BMW fans in this country are likely unparalleled !

I was surprised at the end that it really seems to be a commerical for the dealer however.

I didn't see Fran much but I believe she was pulling away in the i8 at the :50 mark.

Can we see his collection now? The i8 is great but that garage looks like what God would set out for you in his palm

Scott and Fran are great people and great friends. They are the ultimate BMW enthusiasts and have dedicated their time to making the BMW CCA and the BMW CCA Foundation the best car club in the world!

Such a cool video. Thanks for sharing. I bought my E92 M from Century BMW in Greenville SC. They were great to work with on all levels.

That car collection is incredible.
