Door mirror Glass removal
I had my drivers door mirror clipped by a white van down a narrow lane which resulted fortunately of only breaking the outer cover.
This part is £64 about $80 I don't fancy paying the dealer another £100 for a 10 minute fitting job but to replace it requires the mirror to come out to access some screws which hold it in place I know most owners go to the dealers but any one know the correct method of taking out the mirror ? |

Don't know. But I can help you guess, if you wish. If the top cover is held in place by screws on the inside, then either:
- the mirror glass with its base is the last piece to go in, so should just snap into place or: - the bottom cover goes on last, in which case you may have your work cut out for you. I'd think the former is more likely. |
