Driving range

What's the driving range on a full tank of gas and charged battery?

That will depend on your driving style and variable conditions. 24/7 driving in Sport mode should yield you 350+ miles. Assuming 35 mpg x 10 gallons (fuel tank capacity 11.1 gallons). But some people who have used primarily eDrive have gotten close to 1,000 miles before refueling because they kept charging and never use the engine.

Wow, I am not getting that. I am using a mixture of sport, where I need it, comfort on motorways, and pure electric round town, and I am only getting about 270 miles between fill ups

My job is miles round trip so if I charge it every night , no trips to gas station. I saw small gas tank, so I don't wants to make tons of trips to get gas

I am referring more the claim that in sports mode 24/7 you get 350 miles. I am not having that.

I am getting 30.1 MPG and I drive 90% of the time in sport. So 300 miles for me. My i8 app says the average driver is getting 36.1 mpg.

Surely sport mode is the most petrol consuming mode ?? I dont understand this cos my driving modes are varied ( as stated above) but I am currently on 245 miles on the trip with 42 mile range left, averaging 33.2/gal ?

Max usage out of a single tank here: 2500 km / 1550 miles. Obviously not on a single drive. Rather, daily short trips doen fully electric. Average over 21'500 km / 13'360 miles: 62 mpg. Max range indication on a full tank: 916 km / 570 miles.

More realistic range when flying across the Autobahn at whatever speed traffic permits - incl. maxing out when possible: 450 km / 280 miles. I just did a trip to Munich, which is 300 km from here. Had to fill up half way through the return leg. There was a lot of hard acceleration and slowing down again, as it was pretty busy. So, by no means the most efficient way of driving.

Pure EV

Bought mine in late May, have put almost 1500 mi on it and Filled up once. Now granted I only drive it no more than 10-15 miles when I do, so I am mostly in pure electric mode with the exception of when I get the opportunity to put it into Sport and open it up.

No one "needs" an i8 man. They have them because they want them. Prius is the worst car ever made.

I would rather have a BMW i3 then something made by " Toybota" .Not to mention Pirius is in long term is eco friendly as Land Rover Discovery according to Top Gear ,I don't car whether it is true or not though .
Besides no other car gives me the driving pleasure regardless of mileage in my daily commute as BMW i8 gives . Even looking at it in the morning is putting a glimpse on my face let alone get behind the driver's seat

Prius does one thing - poorly. i8 does at least two things - very well.
