Fuel tank capacity (EU)?
I've got mixed results about the fuel tank capacity on the pre-LCI EU-models. Some say that the basic fuel tank was actually only 30L and the 42L tank was an option called "S1AG Larger Fuel Tank".
Is this true or not? Here's some random google hits but additionally at the time at least one test drive article said the same (in Finnish language)? https://motoreu.com/bmw-i8-mpg-fuel-...ications-36407 https://www.carplanner.eu/catalogue/...eadmore/26192/ |

I'm curious about this as well I have a US version car. The engine shut down said out of fuel. Used battery range to get to a station but my car only took 10 gallons. 9.897exactly.

Go to https://www.mdecoder.com and check your VIN, if it shows „Larger Fuel Tank“

My issue was more that it seems to just turn off not actually use all the fuel in the tank. I did verify it does say larger fuel tank on that site for my vin. But to turn off saying out of fuel and then not even take 10US gallons. I find that odd

Yes that sounds wrong. Maybe check with a obd connector and app, how much fuel is left in the tank. I saw this lately. I think in the carscanner app.
