My dealer got four in this past Monday, and had two of them presold. I do not know their current status, but they are being delivered to the dealers. I might have bought one, but have to resolve how to charge it with my condo association since it will require a plug at least outside.

I'm considering swapping my X1 for an i3 but I'm not interested in buying one at full MSRP. So I'll be watching to see how the stock situation develops. Here in California they seem to be trickling in. Some dealers have 1 or 2 on lot, others have none.

If worldwide demand stays high even if sales in the USA prove poor they just won't send that many over here unless they have to for compliance reasons. I'd want to see perhaps an invoice+$500 type of deal before I would seriously think about buying one. Otherwise I'm very happy with my X1 and I'll just keep driving her.

There is one fully loaded REX here in Colorado already significantly discounted for a brand new model:

Interesting as I was thinking there wouldn't be much discounting until the later summer or fall. Of course demand for this particular car might be highly variable. I'm in southern CA and with so many BMW dealers around typically if the car isn't in heavy demand (like say a limited edition M car) you can eventually get it discounted.

And I have to buy it locally. After all, if I'm getting the battery only version then I'm not exactly going to fly to Colorado to buy one.

Looks like these fully loaded launch cars are discounted everywhere. Maybe there are some additional incentives from BmwNA for these launch cars. You might want to talk to a few dealers in your area...

Got our first one in about 30 mins ago. This is already sold. Have a REx coming in, in a few days which is still available.
