It's actually not bad at all. I read on another forum it was like $1500/yr with full coverage, or something like that. This is in the US. No idea about other countries.

If you look rear mirror, do you see "airwaves" due small variations of glass surface?

Congrats!

I recognize Laurence from St Legier's dealership.
She sold me my M135i.

Wait until people start crashing them... LOL.

Makes me think of the $18k GTR pedestrian safety system repair bills that came out of nowhere.

Congrats!

When you have a chance we would love to read your review of the I8 and how it drives. Especially perhaps in comparison to previous sports car.

Thank you for the congratulations. As I previously said, there is no display key . My friend's car is not completely white (see my first picture), but the hood is pretected for transport with a white adhesive. Looking in rear mirror I also see the "airwaves" due to variations between glass and polycarbonate surfaces, but I got used to it since one cannot see anyway much through the rear window.
Here are some pictures of different amibances in the car.

The Carpo Ivory White looks very similar to the Pure Impulse Carum Spice Grey, particularly with the blue stitching.

Well I've seen one on the road already on the 21st early morning. With regular swiss license plate. So didn't look like a dealer show car.
Anyhow have fun while waiting for the battery beeing charged. I'd rather be driving it...

Was the dealer "i certified"? How long did the order take and how much have you waited for the delivery.

Thank you!

I made the reservation already last during 2013 sommer, directly by BMWi in Germany. The car was nevertheless sold by the local official dealer.

Now it is nearly time to really try what this 3 cylinders has to offer. I have planned to bring my i8 back home... in Germany. We will see how it behaves on Autobahn ! I will have 700 km to try to push it up to 250 km/h. Sound's good !
