Updated idrive controller?

Does anyone have the updated idrive controller pictured below? If so, what was your production date?

I can't seem to find any information regarding this new controller but it was on the Protonic Red i8 which was showcased in Geneva Motor Show in September.

I know i3's have had this for months, but even though ETK states new part number for i8 starting from 07/2016, I haven't seen any customer sold car with this type of controller.

Yes i have that on my i8. Just got it a week ago and it's a 2017 P Red, production date is 9/16

That is really strange as my local dealer has a Protonic Red, production date 10/2016 and it has the old controller.
