Very informative video. the technology really is pretty awesome when you think about it. i3 FTW!

Pretty impressive. The bold statement that it's the most advanced car on the planet without a doubt might be a bit over the top? What about the i8? Same tech, but more of it? What about the three hyper-hybrids, LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and the Porsche?

But impressive. If just looked less like a van, it would be the obvious car no. 2 in our house.

i dont think the i3 is any less advanced than the i8. its got all the same components, the i8 just has more. honestly depending on how you think about it, its the only series hybrid in production that is a pure series hybrid if you have the range extender (the volt has a mechanical linkage).

so in that respect it is very advanced.

not to mention for what bmw sells it for, its just way more impressive. sure the porsche etc are great cars, but they cost way way more money. the engineering that went into the i3 to actually use all sorts of advanced materials and building techniques and cost $45k is amazing
