Stock wheels + HR springs = what spacers front/rear?
Hey guys...this is my first i8 so I don't have much experience with lowering it. If I were to thro the H&R's on it what spacers are you guys using for the front and back to get a nice flush look? TYIA

If you lower it you may as well get new wider wheels instead of going with spacers and original wheels. The wheels on the car are too narrow to get a good sporty driving feel most of us like here on the forum. Of course that's just an opinion!

I used 12 front 15 rear. Looks just right. I wanted to use 15 on front as well but I have already had a little rubbing with the 12

Back when the car was lowered and on those godawful stock wheels (sorry I just hate those things they're absurd. So skinny to be that heavy and in my experience don't really do much for fuel economy. BMW really failed with those.)
P.S. I highly recommend 15mm spacers all around when stock or lowered from experience. I had 13mm up front and realized it was a mistake as soon as the car came down form the lift. My friend had 15mm all around while stock and it looked pretty good, still could have used a drop.

It's not as simple as asking what size spacers others use to get a flush look.
First, find the rims you like. They come with offsets (which will give some idea)....but even with that, you should still have them installed on your ride to see how it look in reality. Once installed, measure how much you want the wheels to come out and get the spacers required for that measurement. Z. |
