BIMMERPOST NEWS
BMW i8 Models Spotted in the Wild Looking Like Something From the Future
35
COMMENTS

We've shown you tons of BMW i8 images from its recent world debut at the Frankfurt auto show, but nothing provides a better true to life impression than seeing it in the real world environment. And since the production i8 [full details/specs] has not yet hit the roads, we give you the next best thing - photos of the i8 test cars spotted in the wild.

Seen here is the i8 in Ionic Silver, Protonic Blue and Sophisto Gray, as well as some short video clips of the i8 spotted in public.

The BMW i8 will be priced from $135,700 (plus destination and handling) when it arrives in US showrooms in the Spring of 2014.

See our BMW i8 features and news @ http://www.bimmerpost.com/i8

BMW i8 - Ionic Silver

BMW i8 - Protonic Blue

The car looks nice but the rear end is a little busy.... But that's just my opinion.

Pure class.

Love this car. It really is something special in real life. No car will get as much attention. Trying to get my boss to get one as a company car, so long as I get a spin.

Looks much better in Silver or Blue. The black colour does not do the car justice.

looks like something from the Future?
.... i time traveled into the future and i can tell you the picture ain't pretty. All the cars were ugly, they lacked uniqueness, style and confident.
They all looked alike, and i mean across all auto manufactures.... something from the future pshhh give me a break.

However, the i8 looks nice.

I just cannot get over the looks: it is too busy and ugly imho. Plus it is underpowered for costing so much. No thanks!

Agreed, light colours on this thing is the best.
It looks so techy and sophisticated, it has more pressence on the road than any other car on the planet atm imo.
Can't wait to see it in person.
