The car is already on the showroom floor at Fields BMW Orlando. I had the chance to play around with it.

How many miles does the range extender add to the electric 80-100 mile range?

Cool deal, I'm in Orlando visiting. I'm gonna take a look at it. It has sparked some interest with the wife, so I must take advantage of the situation.

Lease it and you get it applied right to the car deal as cap cost reduction.

Actually electric cars in Norway are also cheap.
The I3 cost about as much as the leaf.
Everything else is of course rip off!

That may be a great idea since the range of the car could limit miles driven - no road trips in this one.

Europe uses a different charging plug, so while you might be able to buy an adapter plug, that, plus not being able to drive very far from an available charger, it could be an issue. I'm not sure if the communications module for the service they use in the USA is on GSM, or uses the same frequencies, so you would not be able to use the internet enabled services for help, or for looking up available charging points. There may be other reasons, too. Probably precludes most people from picking it up at the Performance Center in SC, as well...you'd have trouble getting home!

Sunroof not shown anywhere in the pricing list

Interesting in that the sunroof isn't mentioned as either an option or as part of a package on any of the entries. Prior info showed it as a standard part of any of the 'World' packages, and not available on the 'base' interior. It's probably still that way, but someone forgot to include it in the listing...or, they decided not to include it at all (which would be okay by me!).

We just went by the dealership to pick up plates for our crashed 5-series (another story). They had three or more i3s there for CES and we drove one.

I like the way it drives and I like regenerative braking. The braking makes it possible to use one pedal in some instances. The car seems like it will stand still on flat land without a foot on the brake. The instant torque is great; the car accelerates without fuss.

The car is plenty roomy; there were four of us in there (my daughter was behind me with plenty of room). Getting into the car is different. It is almost a slight step up like a crossover.

The materials inside are different. It isn't an issue when you know the story. The trim level was the one with partial leather seating. That may be Giga.

My wife didn't immediately call it ugly which is a good thing. I have no doubts she would choose it for quick trips to the store since gas will not be an issue. It may be in my future.

Does anyone know the cost of electricity, on average, to "fill up" this car?

It's not cap reduction. It's direct reduction of the selling price.
